FATE UNDER FIRE, "La La Love"

Driven by Sacramento based singer, songwriter and sonic visionary David James, the four piece alt-pop band Fate Under Fire has contributed the theme song to NBC’s Sunday “Today Show,” won MTVU’s Freshman Five Competition with their single “On The Water” and, among countless other accolades, raised funds for suicide prevention and families of children with cancer.

Their vibey new single “La La Love” is a spirited throwback to the grooving, jangling, echo-ey and dreamily atmospheric sound of the 80s, blended with fresh contemporary EDM influences. The lighthearted, dance-floor ready flow of the music offers a cool contrast with James’ lyrics about a cold-hearted woman taking pretty much everything (including his “la la love” but his ability to write an infectious killer song about her. The single will be featured in Episode #103 of the YouTube Red original series “Sideswiped” (formerly known as “Swipe Right”), scheduled to air July 18th. Heartbreak just isn’t supposed to be as much fun as “La La Love!”
