MICHELLE QURESHI, "Night of a Thousand Stars"

Closing in on a decade since she began bringing her timeless, melodic and hypnotic guitarisma to the public via her 2012 debut releases Of Light and Illumination, the classically trained Michelle Qureshi – who made her myndstream debut with the epic 24 track collection Within in 2020 – has long viewed music as metaphor. While she performs regularly at house concerts, festivals, yoga studios and sound immersions, her music has international reach with millions of streams worldwide.

Michelle’s new track “Night of a Thousand Stars” is a lyrical, deeply immersive piece and easily rhythmic piece that draws on the same theme as her 2016 album Scattered Stars. In a time of anxiety and confusion, her lush, dreamy blend of pads, intricate melodic/harmonic patterns and exquisite free-flowing guitar offers a wondrous invitation to look up and contemplate the joys and mysteries of the night sky.

“Night of a Thousand Stars” ” is one of six individually released tracks that are part of myndstream Summer Flight collection – the first in a series of seasonal collections of tracks handpicked by the label’s Head of A&R and General Manager (and veteran two time Emmy winning artist) Michael Whalen.
