Truly a musical citizen of the world, the delightfully sultry and sensual force of vocal nature globally renowned as “Sacha” was born to Mexican and French Lebanese parents, raised in a European home in San Diego and boasts the otherworldly distinction of speaking seven languages and singing in 14.

It’s her affinity for French, and perfect phrasing in that most romantic of tongues that brings poetic charm, beautiful ambience and masterful storytelling flow to Sacha: Paris After Dark – the long- awaited follow-up to her likewise exquisite 2013 album Sacha: NY After Dark. She brings her theme of “100 Years of French & American Composers in the City of Light & Love” to glorious life by artfully infusing her grand passion and world-wise sensibilities into an inviting repertoire of composers who are either French or American Francophiles – including everyone from Cole Porter, Gilbert Becaud and Joe Dassin to Jacques Brel, Dalida and Serge Gainsbourg.
More than simply another grandeur-filled album of exotic, romantic delights, Paris After Dark is for Sacha is yet another manifestation of her lifelong personal mission to use the power of music as way to create a sense of meaningful community from different cultures and backgrounds. She records projects like this, and performs regularly, in the service of healing and connecting. As for the dynamic aesthetic of the album, she says, “I’ve never been more found than when I’m lost in Paris.” Listeners will surely enjoy getting lost in the magic over and over.
