From the first shimmering acoustic strums of Seasons, Gigi DeNisco establishes a musical world where rootsy rock energy, blues-inflected guitar work and reflective, deeply spiritual songwriting converge. Across nine tracks, the South Florida singer-songwriter explores life’s uncertainties, environmental responsibility, personal renewal and, increasingly, the sustaining power of faith. Her accomplished guitar playing and unvarnished vocal delivery give these songs an earthy authenticity, while arrangements that shift from lilting Americana to full-throttle rock and gospel-tinged exuberance keep the journey engaging.

The warmly buoyant instrumental opener “The Beginning” sets the tone with gently swirling acoustic guitar that gradually builds into a high energy, percussion-driven groove. Playful instrumental flourishes, atmospheric effects and a fiery electric guitar solo transform the track into an invigorating folk-rock jam, balancing melodic warmth with a little psychedelic edge.

DeNisco turns toward the world beyond herself on “Blue Skies and the Rain,” pairing hypnotic acoustic strumming with bluesy keyboards and a steady, brooding rock pulse. Her smooth yet slightly raspy vocals deliver pointed observations about a warming planet and the need to respect diversity. Beautiful harmonies and a fluid guitar solo reinforce the urgency of a message that never feels heavy-handed.

“Sidetracked” offers a different kind of reflection, wrapping its spiritual undercurrent in loose, country-leaning blues-rock. Acoustic strumming, rumbling electric guitar and steel-guitar accents create an infectious, rolling momentum, while DeNisco’s conversational delivery and witty spoken interjections capture the familiar frustration of losing one’s direction. The humor makes the song especially appealing, even as its deeper message takes shape.

Faith becomes more explicit on “Secular Stress,” where a hypnotic acoustic motif gives way to a muscular chorus proclaiming perseverance through belief. DeNisco’s emphatic vocals and a blazing electric guitar solo bring conviction to the track’s blend of prayerful affirmation and hard-rocking energy. On “The Light,” gentler steel guitar and meditative rhythms frame a thoughtful consideration of uncertainty and time before the arrangement opens into an uplifting chorus about finding enduring hope amid darkness.

DeNisco shows her playful side on “Everyday,” riding a lilting reggae rhythm that carries its message of kindness and personal responsibility enhanced by gorgeous three-part harmonies that she performs herself. “Thank You” similarly embraces a lively country-rock shuffle, pairing breezy steel guitar with a joyful expression of gratitude to God.

“Please Come In” begins as a slow, bluesy invitation before bursting into a freewheeling gospel-inflected rocker, complete with snappy slide guitar and a driving rhythm section. The triumphant, wildly optimistic closing track “The New Heaven” sustains that celebratory energy through jangling guitars, soaring harmonies and a hopeful vision of eternal peace.

DeNisco has described becoming a different person through her deepened faith, even as her musical identity remains intact. Seasons captures that evolution without abandoning the classic rock, blues and Americana foundations that have long defined her sound. The result is an earnest, guitar-driven collection that finds renewed purpose in familiar musical roots.
